Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your experience via volunteering?

"JDC Central" is a 3-day event that challenges delegates from schools across Eastern Canada in academics, athletics, social spirit and charity. The delegates will compete in academic case competitions, sports tournaments, parliamentary-style debates, and social competitions.

The organizers are looking to recruit a variety of students from DeGroote and other schools to help out at the historic 10th edition of the competition at the University of Guelph from January 4-6, 2019.

- A Night Celebrating Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Hi guys! Join the Queen's MBA Women in Leadership Club for an evening with expert panels, who will share their experience on how the entrepreneurial and innovative mindset transformed and drove their career success. This social mixer event will be a great opportunity for us to learn about their paths and get to know MBA students from other universities. Parts of the proceeds from the event will support Dress for Success Kingston.

The application for the position of President of DeGroote Women in Management Association (WMA) 2018 is now open. The WMA strives to raise awareness on diversity and inclusion at the workplace. Through discussion forums, networking opportunities, keynote speaker events, athletic activities, and community-based initiatives, our group promotes and supports the increasing presence of diverse individuals in the workplace. This group is open to both men and women and we strongly encourage our male colleagues to join.

Today marks International Day of the Girl Child: an annual initiative launched by the United Nations to support and empower young women across the globe with the theme this year focused on helping girls overcome adversity.

According to UNICEF, 600 million adolescent girls will start work in the next decade and 90 percent of those living in developing countries will go into informal roles where abuse and exploitation are rife.

This is what this 2018’s campaign seeks to combat under the theme: "With Her: A Skilled GirlForce", which marks the beginning of a year-long effort to advocate female entrepreneurship and provide young women across the world with the tools they need to carve their own professional paths.
