Surrey Pride Rainbow Seniors' Program presents the wonderful QUIRKes - it is free and open to all ages

06/01/2026

We know Pride during the summer months is a time when 2SLGBTQIA+ communities are more visible and celebrated. It is also an important moment to honour the historical and ongoing contributions of Black q***r and trans communities of color to q***r liberation and to Pride itself, work that has shaped, sustained, and advanced movements for justice, visibility, and belonging.

At the SVSPO, we are committed to listening to and learning from 2SLGBTQIA+ voices, and to keep co-creating spaces where q***r and trans communities are seen, heard, and valued in our community.

Visit the GSWS Student Blog for a new post by MA student Linds Rohlf:

“As part of the GSWS 824 course, Gender and Social Policy: Gender Violence Resistance, I got to participate in a research team composed of my classmates. Our work focused on the importance of women’s only housing and services for precariously housed women in the City of Surrey. This project was initiated by the Surrey Vulnerable Women and Girls Working Group to help demonstrate to the city how needed services that support women and q***r people are to the community.”
