It is our absolute pleasure to announce the online publication of the 2019/2020 SFU Science Undergraduate Research Journal!

We would like to thank our editors, authors, reviewers, faculty members, sponsors, and all of our other supporters for making this happen. We recognize that this year has been unprecedented, to say the least, and we appreciated your patience as our team worked hard to put this together through online meetings, back-and-forth emails, and working through different time zones.

We’d like to thank everyone for participating and checking out this year’s poster competition. With such high quality work, the results were extremely close and the rankings are as follows:

First place: Jessica Willows et al. (Molecular Biology and Biochemistry)
Second place: Ian Chagunda (Chemistry)
Third place: Andrew Redey (Chemistry)

Once again, the results were very close, so we wanted to give an honourable mention to the following: Crey Ackerson (Earth Sciences), Justin Bains et al. (BPK), and Li Yao (Statistics and Actuarial Science)
