CESS is Recruiting! have you applied yet?

Nomination forms for new positions in CESS Council 2021-2022 are now available and must be scanned and submitted to [email protected] by Sunday, March 14th, 11:59 PM. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

To be eligible, you must be a Chemical or Oil & Gas Engineering full-time student. Regrettably, students currently on internship will not be allowed to fill the listed positions this school year.
All available positions are listed on the nomination form, and a full description of the roles can be found in the Constitution, both accessible on the CESS D2L shell.

The election timeline is as follows:
Friday, March 12: The election nomination period begins
Monday, March 15: Campaigning begins
Thursday, March 18: Voting starts
Friday, March 19: Voting ends
Monday, March 22: Election results will be announced

All students are invited to apply - we hope to see more of you getting involved in your students’ society for years to come!

This is a notice that the CESS Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be taking place on Friday, March 12th, at 12 pm.

This is an opportunity for you to learn about the accomplishments of CESS over the past year and find out how you can get involved in the council in the next academic year.
Nomination forms for executive positions will be released after the AGM, and the election timeline is as follows:

Friday, March 12: The election nomination period begins
Monday, March 15: Campaigning begins
Thursday, March 18: Voting starts
Friday, March 19: Voting ends
Monday, March 22: Election results will be announced

This is a great chance for you to mingle with your Chemical and Oil and Gas professors in a casual setting, where you can ask them about their research, talk to them about your courses, and build a good relationship with your professors. Or if you want, you can always grumble about how difficult that last midterm was.

Event is held in interactive breakout rooms on Zoom, Wednesday February 10th 5:30 pm. Everyone is free to join whether you are in chemical or O&G engineering, or planning to get into it.
