What a 3% diploma swing is actually worth โ€” in real dollars.

Most Alberta parents know diploma marks 'matter for university.' Fewer have done the math on what that actually translates to.

The diploma is 30% of the final Grade 12 mark.

Calgary parents โ€” a quick checklist if you're not sure whether your Grade 12 needs extra diploma prep this June:

1. Their school marks have slipped in the last unit or two
2. They say they 'get it in class' but freeze on practice exams
3. They're losing marks in places they shouldn't (silly mistakes, misread questions)
4. They've started avoiding studying for that subject specifically
5. They're aiming for a university program with a competitive cutoff

Any one of those is a reason to consider structured prep. Asking for help isn't a sign your student is behind โ€” it's a sign you're paying attention.
