Meet the winners of the Edwin Gnandt Concerto Competition!

🎼Bethany Wickens will be performing So Shall the Lute and Harp Awake (from Judas Maccabaeus) by George Frederic Handel

Bethany is a Voice major graduating with a Bachelor of Music this year! She is a multifaceted artist invested in using music to shape story.

🎼Eliana Sarafinchan will be performing Clarinet Concerto No. 1, Allegro by Carl Maria von Weber

Eliana is a third-year Clarinet student developing skills as a performer and composer. She is enthusiastic about engaging creatively with music and all forms through collaboration, community, and creativity.

🎼Jennifer Holgerson will be performing Je dis que rien m’epouvante (from Carmen) by Georges Bizet

Jennifer is a second-year student in the Bachelor of Music program for Voice. She has sung in many local and provincial musical competitions to earn scholarships and better her skills in music performance.

Alumni Highlight 🎓: Ambrose Arts 2025 Bachelor of Music alum Bella DeSouza-Cook has been accepted to the Master of Arts in Community Music program at Wilfred Laurier University!

Inspired by classes with our music professor Dr. Michaud, Bella’s research will focus on intersectionality and diversity in jazz, examining the impact of safe spaces for female-identifying, BIPOC, and q***r jazz musicians.

Congrats Bella! 🎶
