TURNING THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

Acts17:6 - “These that have turned the world upside down have come here also”
1Chronicles.12:32 We need men and women that understand the times and know what we should do.

Ephesians.1:17-19 The Apostle Paul prayed "that the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened: that you may know what is the hope of His calling: What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe according to the working of His power.”

To be world changers we need God to open the eyes of our understanding in the areas mentioned. We need this kind of insight, foresight, and foreknowledge as well as great relationships with the right people.

Four areas where spiritual sight is needed.

1. We need to See Gods worldwide purpose through Christ.
John 3:16, 2Peter 3:9, 1 Tim.2: 5, Hab.2: 14 Math.24: 14, Acts 4:12
Three major things that God is doing today, and his grace is upon these areas.
Grace is all of God you will ever need for anything you will ever face.

He is restoring His church back to full power - full revelation of the mystery.
He is equipping His church to take the gospel to all nations, tribes, and peoples.
He is re-gathering the Jews back to their nation and their God.

2. See a world lost without Christ.

Luke 19:10, Eph. 2:12-13, 4:17-18,
Can’t get no satisfaction. Up and out, down and out, all out without Christ.
Earnest Hemingway said, “A life lived outside of the purposes of God is always trying to be filled up with external things.”

3. See a world full of opportunities with Christ.

Esther 4:14 “If you don’t do it Enlargement and deliverance will come some other way".
Mark16: 19-20 "God working with them. He is the same yesterday, today and forever".

All things are possible to them that believe. The impossible is just the untried and the undone. When God needed someone to reach the apostle Paul, he chose someone who was ready and available. He prepares and prunes and positions us. Instead of making an excuse, we must make a commitment. God’s opportunities very rarely come in line with our personal preferences. Every problem is an opportunity to create something, invent something or develop a new relationship. - R.A Latoury.

4. See our world-sized part in Christ. 1Cor.12:17-20, Eph.4:16

- As a Nation. Math.21:43 Delay Armageddon, hold back rise of anti-Christ and false prophet – Create opportunities to take the gospel around the world.

- As a Victory Movement in Africa, Asia, India, Pakistan, Europe, Canada, and USA. Mexico, Latin America, China, Middle East. We need to win souls and start as many Church planting movements in as many nations of the world as is possible.

- As a local Victory Church. To reach our community with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. To build big people. To strengthen the family. To mobilize the army.

You and me as individuals. A better World begins with a better you and a better me. Roaming Ambassadors for Christ. John Wesley, Lester Summeral, William Booth, Catherine Kulman, Billy Graham are all dead, but we are alive and now it’s our turn to be witnesses for Christ!

Yours for the Gospel of Jesus Christ being spread to the entire world and seeing the return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!

Verse of the Week ~ Joshua 1:8

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Have you discovered the profound impact of studying God's Word?

Many underestimate its importance, seeing Bible study as merely a religious duty. However, Psalm 119:105 emphasizes that God's Word illuminates our path, guiding us through life's challenges and uncertainties.

Studying God's Word is not just about gaining knowledge; it's about encountering God himself. Through scripture we discover God's character, His promises, and His will for our lives. God's Word provides wisdom for decision making, comfort in times of distress, and hope for the future.

The Bible reveals God's redemptive plan and his unfailing love for humanity. It teaches us how to live according to His principles and align our lives with His purposes. As we explore scripture with an open heart and mind, we invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us, transforming our thoughts and renewing our minds.

Studying God's Word will deepen your faith, strengthen your relationship with Jesus, and equip you to serve others with compassion and grace. Each passage is a source of encouragement, correction, and inspiration.

May God's Word be a lamp to illuminate your path and a constant source of wisdom and strength.

SACRIFICE IS THE CULTURE OF THE KINGDOM

1. A Living Sacrifice

Rom 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
Mark 8:34 “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”

2. The Victory Movement was built and is sustained through sacrifice!

Psalm 50:5 “Gather My saints together unto Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

This was the scripture the Lord gave to Hazel and me when we, as new pastors, planted our first ever Victory church. We led a lot of people to Christ and purchased 43 acres of land on a main highway. At first, we were very excited but became a little overwhelmed by what it was going to cost to buy this property and build a church complex upon it. We challenged the congregation to sacrifice, by asking them three things:

What can I give?
What can I give if I add faith to it?
What can I sacrifice to give?
The result was that enough money and resources were given to purchase the land and build a 60,000 sq.ft. building. We Made a covenant with God through sacrifice.

3. Sacrifice releases the life and miracle working power of God.

During the next ten years this church went on to become the largest Church in our City, and one of the largest of its kind in the Nation of Canada. Then, the Lord called us to start a church in another City. I asked my associate pastor to go and see what he felt about going to start a new church in that City, but while he was away the Lord told me that I was the one to go, not him. I wrestled with this because my wife and I had worked so hard, made so many friends and sacrificed so much, and now we had everything any successful pastor could want.

Finally, I plucked up enough courage to tell my wife, and to my surprise she said, “If that’s what God said to do, then let’s do it.” So, we did it! We went and started a new church in that city. We felt a little bit like we had been demoted, but God gave me the following encouraging scripture, after we had made the move: Mark 10:28-30 “Then Peter began to say to Him, See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundred fold now in this time – houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come eternal life.”

Wow! What an incredible promise, one that has certainly come to pass in our lives!

This is another scripture the Lord made real to me when He told me to release some of my best leaders to start new ministries and churches. Prov 11:24 “There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right. But it leads to poverty.”

Then, He promised me that for every leader I released He would give me two of like quality and character. And He has been faithful to do it! This sacrificial releasing spirit has enabled us to birth Victory Churches International.

Are you ready to freely sacrifice to help build the Kingdom of God? Surely, we do not have to be paid for everything we do to build the church! Sacrifice is our reasonable service. - (Romans 12:1)

KINGDOM CULTURE - VICTORY CULTURE

The culture of God’s kingdom is first, Christ centered; second, Bible based; and third Holy Spirit directed and empowered. These are also the three ingredients common to all real revivals. Victory culture is a specific ethos that springs out of the kingdom culture.

Nine qualities that help create what I call our Victory culture.

1. Prayer: The habit of prayer produces a spirit of prayer, which is the spirit of revival. Paul called it, “pray without ceasing.” (1Thess 5:17)

2. Praise and thanksgiving: “From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised” (Psalm 113:3 NKJ). David scheduled praise breaks throughout his day “Seven times a day I praise You.” (Psalm 119:164). If you want to change your environment and your attitude, start praising God throughout the day.

3. Purpose: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14; Matthew 24:14). Victory is an Apostolic/Prophetic kingdom building movement. We know our purpose at each level:

 a. Locally: Evangelism; Discipleship; Mobilization (Reach-Teach-Mobilize)
 b. Nationally and Internationally: Leadership development; Church expansion; World Missions.

This is our Local, National and International statement of purpose along with the process.

4. Partnership: We are going somewhere together. The apostle Paul said of his partners: “you all are partakers with me of grace” (Philippians 1:7; 27).
Any great vision requires great partners.

5. Passion: We do what we do with feeling. We are passionate about our purpose.

6. Pastoral: We are relational we care. People are our most valuable asset.

7. Professional: We always strive for excellence. We try to do the very best we can with what we have.

8. Progressive: We are visionary and apostolic. This means we are forward thinking, "what’s next?" kind of people!

9. Positive: We have a positive faith attitude that looks for the good, believes the best and is willing to take a risk on people.

This is what I call the Victory Pea Pod. Imagine what would happen if these nine qualities formed the normal culture and DNA of our lives and churches. There is no doubt in my mind that we would become world changers and history makers that would hasten the return of our Lord Jesus!

We must:

- Learn our DNA or the nine Ps of the Victory Pod.
- Teach our DNA so that it is in every area of our lives and ministry
- Eliminate things outside of our DNA
- Live out of the strength of our DNA

Yours for a kingdom culture that will usher in revival and the return of Christ!

Seven Practical Ways of Receiving God Visions/Dreams/Ideas

1. Set you heart to know God and His intentions. Heb 1:1-2

Lord what is your plan for me and the church I pastor? Lord not my will but your will be done. What do you want me to do? You must be willing to be open to what He has to say and have ears to hear.

2. Seek vision from God for areas in which you have responsibility or influence.

How can I be a better husband/father-mother/wife? From there you expand it out: better businessman, worker, employer and employee. From there the giftings God has given us: politicians, musicians, athletes, artists, computer/multimedia. God, how can I use my gifts and abilities for kingdom expansion.

3. Set time aside to seek God, it’s hard to hear HIM If you have a crowded lifestyle.

Maybe a morning, or a whole day of prayer and fasting. In the bible you notice that when Peter/Ananias/Paul/Jeremiah/Daniel were praying, God gave them a vision. Luke 10:38-42

4. Sensitivity to the many ways God can speak to us.

Through reading and studying the Bible: Some people don’t receive a God given vision because they don’t study the Word! Through reading Genesis 2:21-22, James Young Simpson saw how God put Adam to sleep before He created eve out of his body, and he went on to invent Anesthetic to put people to sleep before he performed an operation. Rockefeller read Genesis 6:14 “cover it inside and outside with pitch,” Rockefeller knew that were there was pitch there was oil and discovered the great Middle East oil finds!

A) Through messages, ministry and worship during local church services. Heb 10:25 - R.A. Laturno said, “I get all my best ideas in Church, because God is there in a special way! Richard Moffat was speaking at a lady’s mission meeting about Africa and young David Livingstone heard his words. This placed a desire for Africa in Livingstone’s heart, and he became the world’s most famous missionary to Africa.

B) Through Godly counsel. 2 Sam 16:23 - “The advice of Ahithophel was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God”. God will send people across your path: your spouse, close friends, people in ministry or a book you read, a tape you listen to. Be discerning as to what you read and listen to, they could be God thoughts.

C) Through God given thoughts and ideas. Prov 16:3 - “Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established.” Learn to discern the voice of the Lord by spending time with Him. You will become increasingly more sensitive until you get a track record of hearing God’s voice and how He speaks to you. 1 Sam 3:10 “Speak Lord your servant hears”

5. Seek confirmation of a vision that you receive.

If there is a major move in your life, seek confirmation. Read Acts 13:1-4 It’s amazing how many Christians make major decisions that have far reaching consequences, and they make them haphazardly. All major moves should come after seasons of prayer, counsel, thought and study. God always prepares you for change before change is ever made.

6. Stay flexible because vision is often progressive and expandable.

The Lord is constantly fine tuning our vision by pursuing and correcting us. So, keep faith and hope centered on Him and not some formula, or last year’s revelation.

7. Be faithful to another man’s vision. Luke 16:16

Many people come into church visionless, but they plug into the vision of the church, and they find vision for their own lives. Praise the Lord!

Yours for receiving Gods visions and dreams.

YOU CROWN THE YEAR WITH YOUR GOODNESS!

Psalm 65:11 "You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance."

Prov 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; In all of your ways acknowledge Him; and He shall direct your paths."

John 12:26 "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."

Staying in Step with Jesus

Math 4:19 "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.”

One reason for fasting is to hear the voice of the Lord

Acts 13:2 "As they ministered unto the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

Rom 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."

• Be aware of His presence
• Be aware of His promptings
• Be aware of His purpose

1. Conscious guidance
2. Subconscious guidance
3. Unconscious guidance

Psalm 37:23-24 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down. For the Lord upholds him with His hand."

Prov 19:21 "There are many plans in a man's heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel (purpose) that will stand."

Keeping the right heart attitude will keep you moving in the right direction

1Sam 3:9 "Speak, Lord, Your servant hears."

Give us ears to hear and courage to obey,
