That’s a wrap on BASS’s 2025/2026 year! On Friday, we hosted our final event of the year with FSO MRU and it was such a meaningful way to close out an incredible year for the club.
Our final event was an alumni night with a special emphasis on the importance of soft skills and how they contribute to both academic and professional success. We were honoured to have Leonard D’Silva
join us and share valuable insights on the role soft skills play in the workplace, from communication and leadership to adaptability, and teamwork. His talk gave students a meaningful perspective on how these skills continue to shape career growth beyond the technical aspects of business.
To make the event more interactive, we also incorporated a soft-skills activity in which students completed a soft-skills passport. This activity encouraged students to engage with different soft skill concepts, reflect on their own strengths and areas for growth, and learn more about how these skills can be applied in both academic and professional settings.
A huge thank you to our alumni and faculty members for taking the time to share their knowledge, experiences, and advice with our students. Your willingness to give back and support the next generation is truly appreciated. We would also like to thank to FSO for collaborating with us on this amazing event and helping make it such a memorable way to close out the year. It was incredible to come together as two clubs to create an event focused on learning, connection, and growth!
