As we continue to celebrate 50 years of UCalgary Law, it’s especially meaningful to welcome back those who have helped shape our history. Yesterday, we were honoured to welcome former dean and friend of the law school, the Honourable Sheilah L. Martin, as the guest lecturer for the H. Markham Silver, Q.C. Memorial Lecture. Justice Martin shared her insights on advocacy and civility with an audience of faculty, staff, students, alumni, including many of her former students, and distinguished guests.

Thank you to Justice Martin for an insightful and engaging lecture, and to the Honourable Justice Lisa Silver and the Silver family for making this event possible.
