Yesterday was filled with proud moments and unforgettable memories as we welcomed new graduates into our community.

Graduates from the School of Foundational Learning and the School of Health and Wellness crossed the stage at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in , cheered on by family, friends, and peers.

From heartfelt speeches to celebratory stage walks, the energy in the room was truly inspiring.

Hosted in partnership with Tech Connect Alberta, the event gave students the opportunity to hear directly from AI professionals, ask questions, build industry connections, and learn how artificial intelligence is shaping workplaces across Alberta.

Last Friday, we gathered to celebrate Indigenous graduates at Bow Valley College through a special ceremony honouring their achievements, journeys, and cultural traditions.

It was a meaningful evening filled with reflection, pride, connection, and community as students celebrated alongside family, friends, and supporters.

This spring, Bow Valley College Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) students took learning beyond the classroom and across the Atlantic.

A group of ECED diploma students travelled to Italy for an immersive study abroad experience focused on global approaches to early childhood education. From Urbania and Reggio Emilia to Florence, students explored internationally recognized learning philosophies, connected with educators, and reflected on their future as early childhood professionals.

Through cultural experiences, academic learning, and meaningful conversations, students gained new perspectives on advocacy, community, and the role of early childhood educators in shaping the future.

Experiences like this reflect Bow Valley College’s commitment to transformational, globally connected learning opportunities for students.

Creativity, collaboration, and a real-world challenge.

This weekend, Bow Valley College hosted a Creative Jam bringing together students from the School of Technology and Entertainment Arts.

Students from Advanced Game Development, Foundations in Entertainment Arts, 3D Animation, Digital Design, and Digital Marketing teamed up to create an animation project for a mystery client — revealed Friday afternoon to be Calgary Airports.

With a tight deadline running from Friday to Sunday, five student teams collaborated to develop and pitch creative animation concepts that could potentially be seen by nearly 20 million people each year at YYC.

A huge congratulations to the Idea Labs team for taking home the winning pitch, and to all participating students for the incredible creativity, teamwork, and innovation showcased throughout the weekend.

Thank you to Calgary Airports for partnering with us on this exciting experience. We’re excited for what we hope becomes an annual event.

Graduating students presented their final projects, sharing their ideas, process, and inspiration with the Bow Valley College community.
