Well... I (Shana Rablah - forgot to put my name on this) ..... am packing up my office... putting courses to 'bed' (so they can be taught by someone else) and I am reminded that leaving some sort of legacy is important. Something to inspire others.
One of the things that we established at Selkirk were 4 scholarships that NOT ONLY supported international students at Selkirk... BUT ALSO students going overseas and wanting to become 'international students' themselves. We named these scholarships after important individuals who touched the program in different ways over the past 40 years.
Val Tromblay - long term homestay parent
Philomena Archambault - International student coordinator
John Armstrong - Department Head and Instructor
and
Devin Turner- local student whose adventures took him overseas.
I would ask that you consider donating to any of these scholarships/bursaries. Any amount would be welcome - as we try to make sure that the funds that go out this year ... will be significant.

On May 23, Selkirk International celebrated 40 years of education excellence at Selkirk College. With over 70 people in attendance and stories that spanned the decades, from the beginning of the program to current students who continue to inspire us all.

This is our very first graduating International Early Learning and Childcare Diploma cohort at Selkirk College, who began their journey with us in September 2024! 🎉
We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and can’t wait to see them wearing their gowns at the upcoming convocation-the graduation ceremony. Their hard work, resilience, and passion for supporting children and families have been truly inspiring.

This is a kind reminder — If you are waiting for your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) letter (note: the program Completion Letter) and final transcript, please note that all PGWP letters will be sent to the email address on file once processing is complete.
✅ Please double check your student record and make sure your contact information is up to date to avoid any delays.

Please note that ordering your final official transcript is a required step. You may place the order at any time, including before completing your final exams. Please refer to the guidance provided by [email protected].

Following these instructions will allow you to receive both your program completion letter and final transcript by email without delay.
