A huge thank you to our alumni Morgan Campbell (Sport & Leisure Management, 2012), Nicole McInnis (Sport & Leisure Management, 2016), and Tami Lewis (Business Administration, 1994) for joining us at yesterday’s Brewing Connections: Student & Alumni Coffee Chats session, where we explored careers in sport.
Morgan, Co-Founder and Head of Strength & Conditioning at ØRKA PEI, shared his experience working with athletes from all levels, including time in the NHL and the Canadian Olympic Sport System. He gave insights into high performance training, athlete development, the importance of work/life balance, and building environments where people can thrive.
Nicole, Team Manager with Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team, offered an inside look at life behind the scenes of international competition. From the 2024 Paris Olympics to FIFA U 17 Women’s World Cups, she spoke about adaptability, being solution oriented, the rewarding challenge of supporting world class athletes, and the community that helped shape her journey.
Tami, Executive Director of Hockey PEI, brought her wealth of experience in sport governance, operations, and community leadership. With more than two decades of service to hockey on Prince Edward Island, she highlighted the importance of strong organizational structures, collaboration, and the impact of sport at every level.
Thank you to Morgan, Nicole, and Tami for inspiring our students with your expertise and your passion for sport.
