September is here, and so is our September Events Calendar!

We have a variety of events lined up throughout the month, with a little something for everyone. Whether you are looking to meet new people, get involved, or just have some fun between classes, we hope to see you there!

Please keep an eye out for individual event posts with full details, as dates, times, and locations are subject to change.

We cannot wait to kick off the semester with you and see as many Panthers as possible at our events! 💚

Hey Panthers! 🪩

Ready to start the school year off right? Come party with us on Thursday, September 10th, from 10 PM to 2 AM in the W.A Murphy Student Centre for our Back to School Pub (Glow In The Dark Edition)! 🌟

Please read below for some important information about this event:

-The cover fee at the door is $10 CASH.

-No advance tickets will be sold for this event.

-While we have debit machines, we suggest using cash for drink purchases to ensure prompt service.

-If you are under 19, you must present your UPEI or Holland College ID to gain entry. The doors closest to the Day Lounge/Tim Hortons are the ones you can enter through. If you leave, you will not be able to re-enter.

-Those who are 19+ can enter through the doors closest to the Fox and Crow/Bookstore. You will need to present a physical Government-issued photo ID.

-Remember that UPEI is a smoke-free campus, and this includes cannabis.

-The East Coast Art Party will be present on-site so you can snap instantly printed photos!

-Need a safe and easy ride? The Panther Patrol has you covered all night long, getting you home from the event worry-free and without any costs! Sign up for a ride home in person at the event.

-Enjoy incredible music, as always, by DJ Mando Bros and have a great time with your old and/or new friends! 🥳

Want to get to know your UPEISU Executives? Or, even better… think you have what it takes to compete against them? 🏆

Come hang out with them for a night of games on Friday, September 4, starting at 8 PM in Andrew Hall 142! 🎮

Whether you are teaming up with an executive or trying to take them down, this is a great chance to meet your UPEISU representatives and have some fun!

🍿Free snacks and juice boxes will also be available throughout the night.

Our executives are so excited to meet as many of you as possible!

🪩First-year students at UPEI, put on your Togas and join us on Saturday, September 5th, from 10 pm to 12 am at The Fox and Crow for a night full of fun, music, dance, and memories!

What do you need to know?👇

-This event is completely free!
-This is a DRY event, which means that no alcoholic drinks will be sold and/or served.
-DJ Jadakiss will be playing amazing songs all night!
-You will have to present your student ID to enter the venue.
-McMillan Hall will be closed.
-Re-entry to The Fox and Crow is strictly prohibited. Once you leave, re-entry to the venue will not be permitted.
-Only first-year students can attend this event.
-We will also have a special menu of fun, non-alcoholic mocktails that you can order for free.

Hey Panthers!

Are you looking for something fun to do before the semester starts? Vancouver‑based comedian Julie Kim is coming to Charlottetown on August 27 as part of her first Atlantic Canada tour, and student tickets are only $5 thanks to support from the Canada Council for the Arts.

This past June, your Vice‑President Student Life, Zare, attended the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities (COCA) conference in Regina. 👑

Throughout the week, she joined keynote sessions, participated in roundtables, and watched presentations from sponsors to determine which opportunities would be the best fit to bring back to UPEI.

One message that truly resonated with her was the importance of fostering a strong sense of community on campus and ensuring students know they are never alone. ❤️

She also connected with other student‑life leaders from across the country, building a network she can reach out to for ideas, advice, and collaboration.

Zare is excited to put everything she learned into action and create the best possible experience for UPEI students!

On Friday, July 24, your UPEI Student Union executives met with Member of Parliament Sean Casey for their introductory lunch and had a truly fruitful discussion.

They highlighted our strategic priorities, shared possible goals for the upcoming year, and discussed how they plan to best serve UPEI students.

We are deeply grateful to MP Casey for his continued support over the years, and we look forward to our official advocacy meeting with him later in the school year.

The UPEI Student Union invites all students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members to walk with us in the Pride Parade this Saturday, July 25. Please meet us at 9:30 a.m. by locating the UPEI vehicle in the parking lot off Terry Fox Drive behind the Government buildings. The parade will begin at 10 a.m sharp.

We will have free stickers to give out, so come join us, show your support, and help celebrate that nothing is stronger than love.

We cannot wait to see as many of you as possible.
