An inspiring visit to Island EMS this week! Our students had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the vital services provided by Island EMS and the critical role they play in supporting communities. It was a powerful learning experience that highlighted not only the skills and dedication required in this field, but also the impact of giving back.

Meet Hugh Roberts, a former Transitions student who stood out for his excellent presentation and public speaking skills throughout the course. Hugh has a natural curiosity and enjoys diving deep into the essence of issues. His passion for seeking the truth and reporting facts inspired him to pursue the Journalism and Communication program.

Today, he is thriving as a first-year student at the college, and we are proud to see him following his passion. Wishing him continued success on this exciting journey. Holland College

Graduate Spotlight | 2024–25 Transitions Program 🎓
Meet Maddox Burke, one of our former Transitions students.
He is currently in his first year of the Business Administration program at Holland College. During his time in the Transitions Program, Maddox showed a very positive attitude and demonstrated great teamwork skills. His open-minded and eager-to-learn approach made his time in Transitions smooth and enjoyable for both peers and mentors. We are so proud of the progress he has made and can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.

Graduate Spotlight | 2024–25 Transitions Program 🎓

Abby Peters entered the program with a great attitude and an open mind, eager to explore the many programs Holland College has to offer. Through her journey in Transitions, she experienced different pathways and discovered her passion — and she is now studying in the RCW program!

Abby has been a confident presenter, while also demonstrating a wide range of skills along the way.

A big part of the Transitions Program is showing up every day with a positive attitude — the rest can be learned during the course of the program.

Keirsten Boutilier is a proud graduate of the 2024–25 Transitions Program!

In addition to being a strong and confident presenter, Kiersten consistently demonstrated a wide range of skills, including taking initiative and being an excellent team player. Throughout the program, she explored a variety of pathways, which helped solidify her decision to pursue Early Childhood Care and Education.
Kiersten is now a first-year student at Holland College and has already taken an exciting step forward by securing a part-time student marketing media role at the college.
