Being a single parent is not easy by no means. Managing a household while you attend school is even more difficult. Here are some tips on how you can juggle both:
~Accept help where you can get it. Some family members are more than willing to watch your baby or babies for little to no cost. Sometimes you can even find a friend who may need the favor returned and it can become a barter type of thing.
~Split your bills between paychecks and even keep the smaller bills to pay with your Canada Child Tax Benefit. I know I take advantage of this one. The way I see it, that power is going to heat your child's food and keep them warm and safe.
~Be frugal. Look for deals and only buy what you need. It helps to make a grocery list, stick to that list, and make sure you eat something so you don't shop hungry.
~Plan your meals and freeze ahead for those days when you are just too tired from the housework, the schoolwork and the childwork (you know what I mean). This is going to help you from wasting time and money that you really don't have.
I'm sure there are more tips on Google, but these are ones that have helped me as a single mom. We are all in this together.
