We are pleased to offer four field trip options on June 18th.

Please note that each option has a maximum number of participants and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Following lunch in the Arts and Science atrium, the field trip will begin in the Fine Arts Building atrium, where the group will join Gallery Director Jane Walker for a tour of the Grenfell Art Gallery, the balcony murals, and a short artist talk by exhibiting artist and MFA student Nicole Holloway.

The group will visit some of the visual arts facilities, then take a scenic walk through Bowater Park to West Street, where we will view public artworks and arrive at the Corner Brook Museum in City Hall. The group will join archivist and museum manager George French for a tour of the museum and City Hall, learning about the history of Corner Brook, sustainability at City Hall, and public art partnerships. The tour will conclude at the Rotary Arts Centre.

In the event of poor weather, transportation from campus to the Rotary Arts Centre and Museum will be arranged.

Following the tour, guests are invited to explore the flavours of honey through a curated tasting experience. Taste the flowers and rugged landscapes that shape each varietal. To navigate a changing world, we must remember who we are. We are honoured to welcome Elder Calvin White as a featured panelist at the 2026 CRRF/NAF Conference.

A recipient of the Order of Canada and the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador, he currently serves as a knowledge keeper on the Assembly of First Nations’ Knowledge Keepers Council and continues to inspire pride and courage in his home community of Flat Bay.

Elder White will bring his profound insight and lived experience to the forum, "Navigating the New Rural Realities - Prospects for Policy and Practice in Turbulent Futures."
