Today is the final day to experience Creative Together 2026 at North Island College.

Featuring work by more than 80 contributors, the exhibition brings together projects across visual art, design, and media, developed through Fine Arts courses and collaborations across the college community.

Join us today, May 7, from 10 AM to 4 PM across Raven Hall, Shadbolt Studios, and the NIC Library at the Comox Valley campus.

As the exhibition comes to a close, we would like to thank all presenting students, volunteers, community members, event assistants, faculty, and technicians for the care, generosity, and commitment that made the 2026 exhibition possible.

We're excited to have Dr. George Littlechild return to the gallery this weekend for a formal artist talk and Q&A.

Taking place at 1pm this Saturday, November 8, the talk will be about his bodies of work that are currently on exhibition at CVAG until November 15: 'Here I am – can you see me?', 'Displaced Indians: The Sixties Scoop', 'Artworks – past and present', and 'The Spirit Giggles Within'.

This is a free event. All are welcome.

On Saturday, October 4, the Stan Hagen Theatre at North Island College was packed — with almost two hundred community members and students in attendance for a special screening of the documentary 'nanekawâsis', followed by a chat with the subject of the film, Dr. George Littlechild, and the filmmaker, Conor McNally.

Thank you to the NIC Fine Arts Department for collaborating with us to host this event as part the NIC Artist Talk Series and CVAG's George Littlechild convergent program. We are grateful to continue a longstanding tradition of working together to support artistic practice of emerging and established artists from the region and further afield.
