From zero hours to airline pilot: here's the path. ✈️
1️⃣ PPL (Private Pilot Licence): a minimum of 45 hours of flight training. You need it before you start the CPL.
2️⃣ CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence): a minimum of 200 hours of flight time. It's what lets you work as a commercial pilot in Canada.
3️⃣ Multi-engine + IFR: fly a twin and fly on instruments, on our Piper Seneca, C-FAUA, with instrument practice in our RedBird FMX simulator.
4️⃣ Then choose: a Flight Instructor Rating so you can teach the next student, or the airline route. Our graduates work at every major airline in Canada.
At Insignia you pay as you fly, with no large lump-sum payment upfront.
Hours shown are Transport Canada minimums.
