A closer look at learning in action at WOB College! 🎓✨

Our students recently took part in a Laser Carbon Peel masterclass, exploring this popular treatment and the care that goes into each step.

The session connected classroom theory with practical learning, giving students the opportunity to follow the treatment process, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of professional skincare.

Learning a treatment means more than knowing how to use a device. It means understanding the client’s skin, choosing an appropriate approach, following safety protocols, and providing clear aftercare guidance. These are the skills we help our students build as they prepare for careers in esthetics. 🖤

🧡 September 30 — National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, WOB College honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, and their families and communities.

Our students and staff wear orange as a reminder that Every Child Matters.

As a college, we recognize our responsibility to learn about the history and lasting impacts of residential schools, listen to Indigenous voices, and build a learning environment rooted in respect and understanding.

Reconciliation is an ongoing commitment. We encourage our community to keep learning, listening, and reflecting—today and throughout the year.

Their first microneedling treatments on real clients! ✨

Our students have been learning the technique, and this week they took an exciting step: performing microneedling treatments with clients for the first time.

Why do people love microneedling? It supports the skin’s natural collagen production and can help improve the appearance of texture, fine lines, and acne scars over time. It’s a treatment where careful technique really matters, which made this hands-on experience especially valuable for our students.

New skills, growing confidence, and a big moment in their journey as future estheticians. We’re so proud of them! 💫
