Happy Pride Month!

We are strongest when we are inclusive and celebrate our differences together. That’s why we are continuing to make our campus a place of inclusion for all. We celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community every day of the year, but this month... a little louder and prouder 🌈❤️

Each year, NorQuest College celebrates outstanding leadership and community impact through its prestigious Honorary Diplomas. At the 2026 Convocation Ceremonies, three exceptional individuals — Vi Becker, Kaye Hauck, and Nicole Bourque-Bouchier — will be honoured for their transformative impact across their respective fields of business leadership, community health education, and Indigenous entrepreneurship.

These changemakers reflect NorQuest’s aspiration to be a place where people come to transform their lives and find a place to belong.

A recent student-led project at NorQuest College crossed boundaries in interesting ways.

Three recent graduates of NorQuest’s Environmental Technician program partnered with the Makerspace (a college hub for students to access creative technology) to explore whether culturally significant Indigenous plants – including to***co, sweetgrass, bee balm, and yarrow – could be grown using hydroponic methods.

The project explored how to bridge centuries-old Indigenous ways of knowing with more modern tools. Before planting began, the students consulted with Elders and Knowledge Keepers. These conversations shaped both the plant selection and the approach to the project, emphasizing respect, building relationships, and the responsibility humans have as caretakers and not just consumers of plants.
