As a Triffo School of Business startup-support and entrepreneurship learning initiative, MacEwan Ventures provides mentorship and networking opportunities for those seeking to turn their idea into a viable business.
Last week, emerging entrepreneurs from Mi Gente Canada Foundation pitched their business ideas to a panel of community judges for the chance to win funding to support their ventures. Congratulations to the winners:
First place winners: Maria Paula Ramirez Cortes & Erica Boffano
Third place winner: Beatriz Adriana Maya Pion
Thank you to our judges for their deliberations: Olena Hlazkova, Founder of Regole Immigration Inc., and Chair & Director of Strategy at Mi Gente; Jutta Rohrschach, Consultant, Mentor, and Community Innovation Leader; and Jesus Gonzalez Rivas, Owner and President of Paraiso Tropical. Thank you to Mi Gente for participating. Thank you to MacEwan Ventures Manager, Tristan Ham; to the staff in the Dean's Office, Triffo School of Business for their support; and to everyone who attend the Pitch Showcase. Lastly, a sincere thank you to all the participants in the MacEwan Ventures program. We wish you all success in your ventures!
