Hi folks! Winter break is approaching and our labs will be closed during the holidays.

The Daytime Lab will operate until Dec. 24 and reopen on Jan. 5, 2022.

The Evening Lab runs until Dec. 9 and resumes on Jan. 10, 2022.

Our Daytime Lab has reopened at limited capacity! Volunteers registered in the online Galaxy Digital system can now book a 3-hour shift (morning or afternoon) under the "Daytime DinoLab (Shift Based)" opportunity. For information about Galaxy Digital, please see our Volunteers page (link below) or contact Howard ([email protected]).

The maximum occupancy is currently 2 people per shift. All volunteers must wear a mask, sanitize upon arrival, and sign in and out of the lab for contact tracing. Entry to the lab is via the door by the elevators (knock for entry).

Spring is right around the corner and so is PALEO 400! The vertebrate palaeontology field school teaches a limited number of undergraduate students the techniques of fossil collection, curation, and analysis. Please note that the field component takes place in the spring and is accompanied by a research project component that extends into the fall term. This course will follow University of Alberta and Province of Alberta COVID regulations.
