Today is World Mental Health Day! This is a day that gives you the opportunity to pause, check in with yourself, and recognize the importance of protecting your mental health. As pre-service teachers, it is essential to take the time and do something that makes you happy! Go outside for a walk, reach out to a loved one, enjoy a quiet moment for yourself, set your work aside, give yourself permission to rest and reset.

Reminder: Teaching Abroad Professional Development Session

Join us on October 5th at 6:00pm-7:30pm with Brooke Bablitz, an experienced teacher and psychologist, to talk all about what it would be like to teach abroad. You’ll get to learn about her personal experiences, as well as what an experience abroad teaching may hold for you. This is a great opportunity for you to learn and ask questions if you’re interested in teaching beyond your local classrooms!

A link will be sent out before hand to those who have registered.

Today is a day to listen, learn, and reflect. 🧡

As educators and future educators, there’s always more we can learn about the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples - and about the role we can play moving forward.

Take some time today to listen, support Indigenous communities, and think about what reconciliation can look like in your own life and future classroom.

The learning doesn’t stop after September 30. 🧡
