We are heartbroken by the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, and our thoughts are with the families, the school community, first responders, and all those supporting the community during this difficult time.

To Our Students,

In moments like these, it is especially important to remember that your college community is here for you.

Support can take many forms - whether it’s a private conversation with an instructor, a classmate, friends or family, or a discussion with a CNC staff member, if you need it, please make sure you get the support that is right for you. You may also need more specific support, and that is also available.

Some of you may have personal connections to the Tumbler Ridge community. If you are directly impacted by these events and require academic accommodation, please reach out to your faculty member or faculty coordinator.

Visit our website for a list of resources, supports, and services available to you as your process this:

Let’s continue to take care of one another - and ourselves.

Your voice. Your child's future.

You know what your child needs. Now we want to hear it.
We are shaping a Youth Initiatives Strategy to strengthen how Northern BC youth are supported from kindergarten through to Grade 12 - and we're starting by asking parents and guardians to share their honest perspectives.

Take 7 minutes to tell us what matters most when it comes to post-secondary education and your family.
Complete the survey → enter to win $500 toward your child's education (tuition credit or CNC bookstore credit) *depending on the child’s proximity to enrolment age

2026 marks 30 years of Black History Month in Canada, honouring the strength, leadership, and brilliance that continues to shape our country.

This month is a time to learn, reflect, and uplift Black voices, on and off campus.
