𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫

Earlier today, we were so pleased to welcome 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡, 𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐏, 𝐋𝐂𝐓-𝐂, 𝐂𝐂𝐂, to Fundy Funeral Home. Lindsey is the daughter of longtime funeral director 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 , who has served families in Ontario, with compassion for over 40 years — and we were delighted that Beverley joined us for the session as well.

Lindsey led our team through a presentation called “𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫”, focusing on Mental Health & Well-Being for Funeral Professionals.

It was an incredibly meaningful morning spent learning how to recognize signs of stress and burnout, while exploring practical tools to help us maintain balance and protect our own well-being.

Those who care for others often put themselves last — and that’s something many of us in this profession can relate to. This session was a good reminder that taking care of our own mental health isn’t selfish, it’s essential to the work we do every day.

We’re very grateful to Lindsey and Beverley for spending the morning with us and sharing their insight and experience.

Taking the first step toward counselling can feel both hopeful—and a little daunting. You might wonder: “Is this really for me?” or “What if it doesn’t help?”

Here’s what I want you to know:
1. 🌟 It’s OK to be unsure.
Seeking support doesn’t mean you’re “broken.” It means you’re ready to grow.
2. 🤲 You’ll be heard.
In our work together, you get a fully confidential, non‑judgemental space to share whatever’s on your mind—big or small.
3. 🛠️You’ll get tools.
Whether you need coping strategies, new perspectives, or just a compassionate ear, we’ll tailor our sessions to what serves you best.
4. ⏰ It doesn’t have to be forever.
Some folks meet for a few sessions; others stay longer. We’ll decide together what pace feels right.
