St. Thomas University- Welcome Week 2018

Join us tonight at 9pm in the Rigby Ballrooms for our STU Social! This is our final event and a great chance for you to hangout and dance with your peers. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

-Feel free to wear your best music festival outfits (not required)! Reminder that cultural appropriation of any sort will not be tolerated.

-Leaders will be meeting with their respective groups (Residence/Off Campus) at 8:45pm to walk the groups down to Forest Hill for 9pm.

-No alcohol is permitted on the premises. Please leave all alcoholic beverages at home or in your dorm rooms. Bags will be checked.

-Water bottles will not be allowed inside, but water and pop will be provided by the Welcome Week Team for free.

-Our team of volunteers will be walking back and forth between Forest Hill and Upper Campus throughout the event for your safety.

-You will need to be wearing your green bracelet in order to get in. Guests need to pay a 2$ admission fee and will be under your responsibility throughout the event.

-Do not hesitate to approach our teams of RAs or volunteers. Whether you require assistance or simply want to chat, we will be more than happy to do everything we can to make your night as enjoyable as possible.

We had a blast at STU Cares this morning! Please join us in Kinsella Auditorium from 2pm-4pm for our MANDATORY S*x Ethics and Alcohol Safety sessions followed by MANDATORY House Huddles led by your RAs! See you all there!

Good afternoon STUdents! We hope your classes are going well! We will be heading downtown to the Freddy Beach BBQ and the FREX tonight! Here are your options for traveling to the events:

-Grab the 10N Carlisle behind Donald Duffie Hall at 5:16pm or 5:46pm to make your way down for the Freddy Beach BBQ at 6pm.

-Grab the 16N Marysville on the other side of the Vanier parking lot at 5:25pm or 5:55pm to make it down to the Freddy Beach BBQ for 6pm.

-For those only wishing to attend the FREX, shuttle buses are provided between the FREX and JDH between 7:30pm and 11:00pm (this covers your ride back from the FREX)

-For those attending the BBQ- our leaders will be leaving Officer's Square at 3 different times to walk over to the FREX (7:00, 7:30, 8:00)

Some volunteers will be in the courtyard between 5:30pm and 6:00pm to provide further directions for those who might have questions.

-4:30pm-6:30pm: Celebration of Culture (Lower Courtyard)
-6:30pm-7:30pm: Teams travel down to the Playhouse (Meet in Lower Courtyard at 6:30pm)
-7:30pm-9:30pm: Hypnotist Show (WEAR YOUR GREEN BRACELET)
-9:30pm-11:30pm: Team Activities
