UNB Queen Elizabeth Scholars

Congratulations to the 2019 Cohort of UNB / QES Scholars who have just joined our partners at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. Jenna Curwin and Matt Miller will be completing an internship with the Caribbean Institute for Health Research. Reid Sutherland and Nolan Doak will be with the Centre for Marine Research at Discovery Bay. Thank you to UWI for making this happen for our Science Students

As a QES Scholar, participating in important research is critical but it is also important to get involved in the culture. So while in Jamaica, there is not better way to do this than meet Usain Bolt in person!

Stay tuned for more updates from our QES Scholars in Jamaica. UNB Student Abroad UNB QES 2019 Cohort Queen Elizabeth Scholarships - QES UNB Fredericton Faculty of Science at UNB UNB Student Union University of New Brunswick Ethan O'Connell; Jenna Curwin Reid Sutherland Nolan Doak

Last week we had our first experience in family planning in Malawi. We were able to work with many women to find the right birth control methods for them and their families. This week we were able to take part in family planning talks with both women and men. It was very exciting to be able to have both groups involved in these talks and to work with and learn from them!
