Looking to build a meaningful career working with children?

The Early Learning & Child Care diploma at NWP is a two-year program that prepares you to support the development of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.

You will learn how to create engaging, play-based learning environments while building strong relationships with children, families, and communities. The program also includes Work Integrated Learning, giving you valuable hands-on experience before you graduate.

Graduates qualify as Level 3 Early Childhood Educators in Alberta and can pursue careers in child care centres, kindergartens, inclusive programs, and out-of-school care.

What a day. 👏

Today, we officially opened the doors to NWP’s new Skilled Trades Training Centre in Grande Prairie.

This 40,000-square-foot facility provides modern, hands-on learning environments designed to reflect the workplaces students are preparing to enter.

It also marks an important step in expanding access to skilled trades training in our region, with capacity for more than 1,500 apprentices annually.

Today was about more than a new building. It was about creating opportunities for students and helping prepare the skilled workforce our region will need for years to come.

What a day. And what an important time for NWP students, our industries, and our region.
