The Future Vets Club (FVC) is a non-profit organization run out of the University of Guelph. Our main goal is to provide support to undergraduate students intending to apply to veterinary colleges, both within Canada and internationally. Our aim is to provide as much information as possible by organizing and hosting informative seminars and events which feature speakers from animal-related fields

and by providing information on work/volunteer opportunities as well as which schools offer a degree in veterinary medicine. We hope to provide our members with a broad, first-hand glimpse of the veterinary profession as well as to the various fields within veterinary medicine. The events that the club hosts provide valuable information and also allow undergraduate students the opportunity to network with potential supervisors and meet other students who share similar interests and a passion for animals.

Everyone is invited to the 26th Annual OVC Animal Welfare Forum!

Every fall semester since 1999 the OVC has held an animal welfare forum where a variety of speakers come in to discuss topics relating to animal welfare and well-being. This year we are lucky enough to welcome speakers discussing the topics of wildlife tourism, dressage horse welfare, canine aggression and socialization, and the welfare of husky sled dogs.



The forum offers an educational experience while raising funds through donation for our student club-sponsored Care-A-Thon Scholarship. Drinks, snacks, and lunch will be provided throughout the day thanks to our generous sponsors at the AWFC.



We look forward to seeing you there!
