DalMed Service Learning Program At Dalhousie Medicine, the Community Engaged Service Learning Program is offered to 2nd year students. Welcome to the Dalhousie Medicine Service Learning Page!

The experience includes preparation, critical reflection assignments and a project deliverable that is relevant and useful for the community partner. The Service Learning program contributes to preparations for community-engaged experiences in first year through contributing curricular content in the Professional Competencies class and provides students with an optional opportunity to participate

in collaborative community-engaged experiences in their second year. The program aims to unite community service with academic study, encouraging students to participate in service learning activities as an opportunity to gain knowledge of community and patient needs.
