Play is at the heart of early learning! 🖍️

Our onsite students wrapped up their first play course by putting what they’ve learned into practice. Through open-ended activities in art, science, literacy, math and music/movement, they explored how the same materials can inspire many different ways to play.

Students took turns being the educator while their classmates played—practicing how to join in, ask thoughtful questions, encourage ideas and help extend the learning.

A hands-on way to explore how educators can support children’s curiosity, creativity and development while giving them room to lead!

Already working in child care and ready to earn your ECE Diploma? You can keep working full time while studying through our online PLAR program.

Designed for educators with Level 1 Classification, the program takes 15 months to complete. Classes run three evenings a week from 6:30–9:30 p.m. You’ll complete two practicums at your workplace.

ECEs working in eligible rural Nova Scotia communities, including Tantallon and East Hants, may now qualify for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness. Student loans are also available to eligible PLAR students.
