The Mystics Women’s Basketball Team is excited to announce that Sasha Daab has to MSVU!
A 6’1” forward from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sasha will continue her studies in the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology program at MSVU.
Sasha joins the Mystics following an impressive university career, highlighted by a 2026 AUS Championship with the UNB Reds and a USports Championship silver medal in 2026. She also competed with the Halifax Hornets in the MWBA last season, helping them earn third place.
“I'm beyond excited to be joining MSVU and playing for the Mystics. After getting the chance to play for Mark in the MWBA with the Hornets, I’m really happy I get to continue learning from him this upcoming season. I had so much fun and grew a lot under his coaching, and I can’t wait to keep developing my game. I’m also really excited to play alongside such a wonderful group of girls and for a great coaching staff. For me, this is about growing not only on the basketball court but also in the classroom, and I couldn’t be happier for what’s ahead”.
Coach Mark Forward: “We’re very excited to add Sasha to our program. She brings a great motor, athleticism, versatility and experience to the Mystics next season. Offensively, she’s a true three-level scorer who can stretch the floor, attack the basket and score in the mid-range. Defensively, her length and athleticism give her the ability to guard different positions while also providing rim protection. Sasha brings a skill set that fits extremely well with how we want to play, and we’re excited to add her to our group.”
