Are you an MI/MLIS student who would like to be a part of this year's IWB Conference?
IWB is a student-run initiative led entirely by individuals from SIM. The event provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion on a central topic affecting all professions represented at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Management.
We are looking to fill 9 positions this year, you can see a brief descriptions of each position below. Applications are due at Midnight on October 1st, 2021.
Administration Co-Chair (1 available position): The Administration Chair is responsible for the administrative tasks relating to the general operations of the IWB committee. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are recommended.
Programming Co-Chair (2 available position): The Programming Chairs are responsible for researching, contacting, and liaising with potential speakers for the IWB conference.
Finance Co-Chair (2 available position): The Fundraising Chairs are responsible for managing the financial operations of the committee.
Logistics Co-Chair (2 available position): The Logistics Chairs are planning the logistical aspects of the virtual conference. For this position, skills such as knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other teleconferencing tools, attention to detail, and previous experience with developing online events are considered assets.
Registration Co-Chair (1 available position): Registration Chairs are responsible for implementing the web-based registration system, as well as attending to the needs of all registrants. The Registration Chairs will keep track of accessibility needs of conference attendees and relay this information to the Logistics Chairs.
Web & Communications Co-Chair (1 available position): The Web and Communications Chairs act as our Public Relations. These chairs are responsible for developing and updating the IWB website and social media outlets as well as developint marketing strategies and promotional materials.
