Sangay Tshering is the Spring 2026 recipient of the Eric and Ingeborg Enns Family IMTE Convocation Award.

Sangay began his journey at Saint Mary's in 2024, after more than a decade of classroom teaching experience in Bhutan, and a significant record in publishing both academic work and educational resources. While completing the International Master of English Teaching (IMTE) program, he also earned the prestigious Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) certification in the context of his IMTE practicum. After graduation, he looks forward to pursuing research of leadership practices for policy implementation in Bhutanese schools.

The Eric and Ingeborg Enns Family IMTE Convocation Award was created to recognize a graduating student who has excelled in the International Master of Teaching English program as they embark on their journey to become a leader in global language education and intercultural understanding. Congratulations Sangay, and best of luck in your future endeavours!
