The initial round of interviews for winter 2027 co-op students will begin on Wednesday, October 7. If you’d like to practice your interview skills and get helpful feedback, our Co-op & WIL Coordinators are available to help!

From NSCC to the MSVU Master of Public Relations Internship Program, Sydney Davidson’s journey has been shaped by curiosity, growth, and a drive to keep moving forward.

Sydney’s post-secondary experience has been a journey of self-discovery—exploring her interests, building her skills, and continually seeking opportunities to learn and grow. Each step has helped her build a stronger foundation for the career she wants to pursue.

Now, as part of the Master of Public Relations Internship Program, Sydney is putting her learning into action through an internship with Build Nova Scotia.

The fall semester starts today, and you can feel a new chill in the air! Summer heatwaves are a thing of the past. Though the weather around here changes frequently, there is always one constant on campus: the crows! They are always here to welcome you back to campus 😊

Today is the last day of the summer session II semester. To our summer Co-op & WIL students, we hope you all enjoyed your work terms and gained some valuable experience!

To our students preparing for the winter 2027 co-op term, we would like to remind you that the first draft of your updated resume and reference list is due today (unless specified otherwise by your Co-op & WIL Coordinator). We would also like to remind you to take the chance to review and accept the Terms & Conditions on Career Connects by August 31. Winter co-op job postings are right around the corner, starting on September 14!

Last week, the Co-op & WIL team had the wonderful opportunity of attending the Blueprint for Talent: Work-Integrated Learning Lunch hosted by the Association of Atlantic Universities and the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce. At this event, Mark Patterson, keynote speaker and founder of Magnet, delivered an inspiring talk about the future of AI in the workplace, what that means for us and our students, and how to best prepare our students for the incoming changes. Afterwards, we got to listen to a wonderful panel of individuals that gave us insights into the employer, student, academic, and corporate perspectives of how work-integrated has impacted them in the present and what they expect for the future.

It was inspiring to learn more about the positive effects of WIL and how our team can better prepare students for the workforce.
