Dalhousie University Faculty of Management Our faculty is a dynamic hub of educators, students, and community members who are focussed on business, management and leadership.

We offer three undergraduate programs, the Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), the Bachelor of Management (BMgmt) and a combined Bachelor of Science (Recreation)/BMgmt, and a broader range of 5 graduate programs plus 2 PhD programs. Our graduate programs also focus on business, leadership and management extending in public service, information sciences, and research intensive studies. Home to a broad sp

Don't miss the opportunity to take a new course this fall.

INFO 3030, is open to all students and is an interdisciplinary exploration of the systemic inequities in the cataloguing, gathering, and dissemination of information and data. Take for example how the healthcare system gathers information from patients. Some groups, like women and immigrants, struggle to be heard, impacting the standard of care. Or there's the matter of AI, and how to prevent it from regurgitating the racist and inaccurate information that is already on the internet. The course will stimulate you to look critically at the information that circulates around you and consider ways in which we can break down some of the barriers to a just and equitable exchange of knowledge.
