The David Sobey Retailing Centre recently welcomed 50 members of the Sobeys merchandising team for an engaging Retail Insights session focused on AI in Retail.

Led by Centre Director Dr. Ramesh Venkat, Head of Technology and Innovation Jason Rhinelander, and AI Engineer Vinod Bachhao, the session explored the evolving role of AI in retail and the opportunities it presents for retailers today and into the future.

We were also pleased to have a special contribution from Marketing and Research Coordinator and Sobey School BComm student Gwyn Osborne, who brought a valuable student perspective to the conversation.

Sessions like this reflect the David Sobey Retailing Centre’s commitment to connecting research, innovation and education with the real-world challenges and opportunities facing the retail industry.

Thank you to the Sobeys merchandising team for joining us and engaging in the conversation around the future of AI in retail.
