This page allows residence students at Dalhousie to connect with one another and get informed about some of the activities and opportunities that await on campus and in the community. We’re here to support you as students in the most healthy and responsible manner possible. This page is part of an inclusive approach to support our residents and contribute to your success at Dalhousie and in the Res Life department. Did you know that almost every rechargeable gadget out there runs on Lithium-Ion batteries? But hold up, these little powerhouses can actually be a fire hazard! 🔥

Here are some easy safety tips to keep in mind:
- Pick the right brand! Go for trustworthy names that follow safety rules.
- Charge it right! Always use the charger that came with your device and charge it on a solid surface, don’t overcharge it, avoid leaving it unattended, and charge away from exits.
- Recycle those batteries! When they’re done for, take them to a certified recycling center. Don’t toss them in the trash!

Keep an eye on your batteries and devices for any damage and swap them out if they look wonky.
