Meet Derek Cameron! Derek is an AMS Healthcare Postdoctoral Fellow, working with Kristine Alexander in the Wilson Institute for Canadian History. He holds a PhD and MA in history from the University of Saskatchewan, and his current research explores the attitudes of young people growing up in vaccine hesitant and anti-vaccine families. Philosophy professor Claudia Emerson has been awarded the 2026 Trailblazer Award in the Science for Policy category by the Canadian Science Policy Centre, recognizing her impactful contributions to Canadian science and society. The Migrant Rain Falls in Reverse, A Memoir written by Humanities graduate and Toronto-based Vinh Nguyen, was chosen for this year's Hamilton Reads 2026 events. "Recent data has shown that a generational divide has emerged in perspectives on gender rights, with younger men more likely to believe that gender equality has gone too far and that men should have authority over women," says Megan Blair, a postdoctoral fellow with the Wilson Institute for Canadian History.
