Attention Hamilton residents interested in participating in research! We are recruiting 21-55 year olds who drink alcohol regularly. The purpose of the study is to use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to investigate the relation between environmental factors and alcohol involvement. Participants will be compensated in gift cards for their participation! CNALab Director, Dr. Michael Amlung presents a talk as part of the Pint of Science Canada series. Dr. Amlung's talk focused on "Using Neuroscience to Decode Addictive Disorders". CNALab PhD student, Vanessa Morris also presented a talk on our ongoing intracortical myelin brain imaging study. Thank you to Pint of Science for providing a platform for our team to share research on addictions, raise awareness, and combat stigma.

All three CNALab graduate students (Vanessa, Herry, and Lana) held their annual thesis committee meetings in recent weeks and received Excellent ratings on their progress. Our students are the driving for many of our projects and it is exciting to see them progressing through their programs!
