McMaster Association of Part-time Students - MAPS

McMaster Association of Part-time Students - MAPS MAPS help part-time undergraduate, certificate and diploma students successfully navigate the part-time student experience at McMaster University

MAPS promotes the academic interests of part-time students to the university community

We advocate for part-time students’ needs—both to the university community and the community at large

We promote a cultural and social environment for part-time students. MAPS lobbies the university for increased course availability, improved access to courses for part-time students, and advocates for extended

services hours on campus (at the Campus Store, libraries and cafeterias). We keep our members informed about important events through Facebook, our university hosted website, email updates, our newsletter The Link and our annual Student Handbook (all publications are available in hard copy and online). We track course availability to identify changes in evening course offerings; help navigate university procedures and policies, and offer helpful seminars. Our members, any student at Mac enrolled in 17 or less units in either the September - April session or Summer session) have access to the lounge, a quiet reading room, computers, discounted photocopying, and a professional office staff trained to support you throughout your time at McMaster.
