November 11 is a very special day, and I’m sure most of you know why it is special. Is it because PS5 will be released in less than a day🤩? YES. But other than that, today is also remembrance day. You may ask, “How does Remembrance Day relate to Hong Kong🤔?”, and today we will talk a little bit about what happened 80 years ago:
In December 1941, the Imperial Japanese invaded Hong Kong. As the Japanese army started to bomb the airport and march down to the city center, British, Canadian, and armed forces from other countries tried to fight the Japanese back💪. Although they fought courageously, the armed forces could not hold back the invasion. Almost all Canadian soldiers are killed during this battle. To remember this battle, the slogan “remember Hong Kong” was passed among the troops.
Canadian and other soldiers died defending Hong Kong✝️. Before today ends, why don’t we spend some time remembering these brave soldiers who died fighting for us?
Lest we forget🌺
