JDC West is a three-day business management competition that brings together 12 of the top Western business schools to compete in areas of academics, debate, athletics and social challenges. Standing for “Jeux De Commerce”, JDC is unlike any other business competition – due to its scale and unique “spirit” component. This means inherent in the experience is making human tunnels, cheering on other

schools, epic dance parties, swapping swag, and much more. JDC West seeks to assemble the best business students that Western Canadian universities have to offer. The competition provides students with an opportunity to compete with each other in all facets of business while developing networking, critical thinking, and leadership skills as they prepare to begin their careers in the business world.

Looking to compete in JDC West but aren’t sure about joining an Academic Discipline? Take a shot at the Athletics Team!

The Athletics Delegation is unique where you compete in two non-traditional sports in co-ed teams throughout competition weekend. This year’s chosen sports are Tchoukball and Boccerball.

This week on Spotlight Sunday, we have our Faculty Advisor, Tamara! Tamara has spent many years supporting the JDC West Okanagan Team, either as an academic coach or faculty advisor. She comes back year after year as she says, “It’s a privilege and an honour to support students beyond the classroom!”
