Queen's School of Nursing is hosting international guest scholar Dr. Molalign B. Adugna for an Academic Series lecture on Sept. 8. Dr. Adugna is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia.

Dr. Adugna's research and community development work focuses on disability inclusion, inclusive higher education, community-based rehabilitation, stigma reduction, and inclusive development. His work has been presented on international platforms, including at the 2024 Social Forum at United Nations Headquarters. He has also presented at various Mastercard Foundation conferences, as well as the Pan-African Transformational Leadership Summit, sharing insights on disability inclusion, inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, and transformative community development.
