Meet Matt 💪 Matt is from Toronto, Ontario, and completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a certificate in Athletic therapy from Queen’s University. His thesis project looks at the proximity of the axillary nerve during biceps tenodesis. Matt’s favourite part of the program has been dissection and Tim’s runs with the class ☕️

Meet Preeti 🥼 Preeti is from Markham, Ontario, and is also one of our class reps! She completed her Bachelor of Medical Sciences with an Honours Specialization in Medical Cell Biology at Western University. Her thesis project involves creating and testing a clinically-oriented, facial layer-based educational module on neck anatomy. So far her favourite part of the program has been learning different dissection techniques and all the parts of specimen preparation. Fun Fact: it’s also this PII’s birthday today 🥳

Meet Kennedy 🧫 Kennedy is one of our class reps and is from Brooks, Alberta. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology at Lakehead University and prior to joining the program worked for the Department of Health in Iqaluit, Nunavut, for two years. Her thesis project looks at metformin as a non-hormonal treatment option for endometriosis. Her favourite part of the program so far has been getting to learn all the different parts of anatomy, including histology 🔬

Meet Eddy🫀 Eddy is born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, and before joining the Anatomical Sciences program worked for a decade as a paramedic! Eddy’s thesis project looks at membrane rescue of mutant hERG potassium ion channels with lipids. His favourite part of the program so far has been dissection and TAing in the anatomy lab 👨‍🏫

Meet Skye 💀 Skye is from Fredericton, New Brunswick, and completed her undergraduate degree at Saint Mary’s University with a major in Biology, minor in Anthropology, and certificate in Forensic Science 🔎 For her thesis, Skye is developing a module based course on forensic skeletal identification and analysis.
