A Rivalry More Than a Century in the Making 🏒

This Sunday, October 11, the RMC Paladins Men’s Hockey team heads to West Point, New York, to face the Army Black Knights at 2 p.m.

First played in 1923, the Army–RMC Challenge Trophy game is the longest-standing international hockey rivalry, a tradition built on spirited competition, mutual respect and the enduring bond between two military academies.

For generations of alumni, this matchup has meant more than the final score. It is a proud connection to those who have worn the jersey, filled the stands and carried the RMC spirit forward.

Good luck to the Paladins as they take the ice at West Point. Play with pride!
Go Paladins!

Truth, Duty, Valour.

🎯 Celebrating the RMC Combat Weapons Team

Last night, the RMC Combat Weapons Team welcomed Mike Houghton, CMR RMC 1965 a longtime supporter of the team, to its range night. Mike joined the coaching staff, instructors and team members, along with Riley Jessup from the RMC Alumni Association, for an up-close look at the dedication, discipline and teamwork behind the program.

Support for the Combat Weapons Team creates meaningful opportunities for cadets to build confidence, sharpen their skills and strengthen the leadership, resilience and teamwork that will serve them throughout their development as future officers in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Thank you to Mike for his enduring commitment to the team, and to everyone whose support helps these cadets train, grow and succeed. Bravo Zulu!

October is Women’s History Month in Canada, serving as a dedicated time to celebrate the achievements, leadership, and resilience of women and girls, past and present.

Today, women graduates of Canada’s military colleges serve across every domain of the Canadian Armed Forces, commanding, flying, training, leading, and contributing at the highest levels of defence.

For generations, women faced barriers to military education and service, including restrictions on many occupations and operational roles. The final occupational restriction was lifted in 2001, opening submarine service to women.

Today, the newest Naval and Officer Cadets at Canada’s military colleges follow in the footsteps of these trailblazers, carrying forward their legacy of courage, service, and leadership while continuing to shape the future of the Canadian Armed Forces.

This Women’s History Month, the Canadian Military Colleges alumni community honours every hard-fought step forward and celebrates the women—past and present—whose service, leadership, and legacy continue to strengthen the Colleges, the Canadian Armed Forces, and Canada.
