Queen's Fuel Cell Team

Queen's Fuel Cell Team Provides students with both hands-on and research-based experience working with the application of fuel cell technology.

The Queen's Fuel Cell team is a multi-faculty, student-run team which specializes in the research and development of the application of fuel cells within vehicles. The team appeals to a large range of technical students , encompassing many fields of science and engineering, with a particular emphasis on mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering. The QFCT also provides an excellent opportunit

y to any students wishing to get involved in design or business operations. Absolutely no experience is necessary to join the team! The team's current project is retrofitting a Bombardier Recreational Product snowmobile to be powered by a fuel cell stack. The completion of this project will mark the first recorded construction of a fuel cell powered snowmobile. The team's aim is to compete in the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge in 2013, in order to showcase the QFCT's expertise and accomplishment.
