March 8th is International Women’s Day! Today, we celebrate women around the world and their fight for equality and liberation. This year, the United Nations official theme for International Women’s Day is “Rights. Justice. Action.”

QIAA is a club with many strong female leaders and members. Pictured here are all of our female executive staff for the 2025-6 school year, and we thank and acknowledge them for their hard work and dedication to their initiatives and international affairs as a whole.

Today, make sure to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, political, and personal achievements of the women in your life. Happy International Women’s Day!

Throughout the month of February, QIAA has celebrated and recognized Black History and Futures Month, which uplifts the accomplishments of Black people globally while also reflecting on the histories and contributions of Black communities. Black History Month should not only be confined to the month of February, but should be in our hearts and minds all year long. QIAA is committed to instilling the importance of inclusion and diversity in the next generation of global leaders.

February 21 is International Mother Language Day, which was originally established in 1999 in
Bangladesh as a day designated to recognizing and promoting cultural and linguistic diversity. It
highlights the need to preserve languages and embrace one’s cultural identity as 40% of all
languages are bound to disappear. Tolerating and respecting one another’s cultural and
linguistic differences is a key step toward fostering universal peace. In 2026, we celebrate the
impact of younger generations on the development of multilingual education, which is crucial to
one’s well-being, learning, and participation in society.
