The QMed MCAT Support Program is a free MCAT summer course for students demonstrating financial need, who otherwise may not have access to such preparatory courses. Our mission is to help eliminate barriers and increase equal opportunity in applying to medical school by creating a not-for-profit MCAT preparatory course, led and taught by current medical students at Queen’s University.
This year, we will be hosting a “Meet the Tutors” event, where prospective students can come to ask questions about the Summer 2019 program, Queen’s medicine or the path to medicine in general. The event will be held on Feb 25th at 5pm, Rm 021 School of Medicine Building.
More details about the program can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/qmedmcat/

This year, Queen's School of Medicine is hosting its 18th annual Health and Human Rights Conference, entitled Rx: Pharmaceuticals, Recreationals & Other Drugs on November 16th - 18th, 2018. This conference will explore various contemporary drug issues, including Pharmacare, cannabis legalization, and the opioid crisis. There will also be a number of workshops on drug and health care access. We've worked really hard to make our event as community-based as possible, with the help of local charities and community health centres, and we hope to offer as humble and as grounded a learning experience as possible.

Please check out our website at www.queens-hhrc.com and visit our page ’s Health and Human Rights Conference 🙂 Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Interested in healthcare? Altitude is a program that is provided by medical students across Ontario that provides mentorship to first year undergrad students who have an interest in careers in healthcare, but who may face barriers such as being from a rural area, being the first in their family to attend university, having socioeconomic limitations, having a disability, or identifying as a visible minority. First-years who participate in the program receive one-on-one mentoring from Queen's medical students, and group mentorship about studying, wellness, and job-searching skills.
