Please join us from 11-1pm tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 13th on the corner of University and Union, as we join communities across Turtle Island in demanding justice for Jane Doe at Cornell and all survivors of sexual violence, and hold our institutions accountable. In 2020, a report revealed that Queen’s students experienced the 2nd highest sexual harassment reports among Canadian universities, and Queen’s continues to promote its long standing partnership with Cornell through its Executive MBA Americas program (a joint venture between Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University).
While Cornell refused discipline the Cornell57 for their involvement in the brutal assault of Jane Doe, they had no issue in suspending four peaceful protestors from the same year. It was only because students brought the case to light that we know about the horrific gender based violence that Cornell tried to cover up, and we will continue to stand in solidarity with Jane Doe and demand justice for all survivors of sexual violence, on our campus, at Cornell, and everywhere.
